Chapel Hill - Ballet School of Chapel Hill
Home to many performing companies and ensembles throughout the years, the Ballet School is proud to have sponsored the former Chapel Hill Ballet and 15-501 Ballet companies, Carolina Dancers, Taptations, the internationally acclaimed North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble (originally The Children’s Tap Company and Triangle Tap Company), Studio A Dancers, Whirlwind Dancers, and our own studio company, the Chapel Hill Dance Theater. Recognized by the Dance Spirit Magazine as one of the top schools in the region, the studio is also proud of its award-winning faculty.
Durham - Duke University
The Duke University Dance Program offers its students the opportunity to study in an environment that challenges the student's intellectual, expressive, and physical capabilities. Dance classes are open to all Duke undergraduate students and the Dance Program provides beginning, intermediate and advanced levels of classes in order to meet the varied needs of undergraduate students. For those interested in seeking formal recognition for their involvement in the Dance Program, we offer a Minor in Dance and students interested in majoring in Dance may do so through the University's Program II.
Durham - Ninth Street Dance
At Ninth Street Dance, we believe that everyone can enjoy and benefit from learning to dance. Not a studio for professional dancers, we invite anyone who would like to explore new ways of moving and inhabiting their bodies to join us. We strive to provide a nurturing, non-threatening environment in which dancers and non-dancers of any age, shape or gender can learn to feel more at home in their bodies and experience the joys of movement. Durham Arts Council School
Durham Arts Council School is a vibrant community education program for visual and performing arts which provides over 430 courses each year to more than 3,000 adults, teens and children in drawing and painting, dance, clay, sculpture, theatre, photography, digital arts, writing, fiber arts and more. During the summer, the school offers art camps for 5-12 year-old children and intensive study opportunities for teens. Throughout the year, DAC School also offers special courses for teens and children and has a wide array of toddler and preschool classes.

At the Dance Department at UNCG, we believe that the field of dance needs many different kinds of professionals with diverse strengths and aesthetic points of view. Rather than trying to make a standardized product, we recognize that students come in as individuals, and seek to pursue diverse pathways and accomplish diverse outcomes. With our guidance, each person interweaves his or her own experiences to make a life in dance.
Raleigh - Arts Together
Arts Together is a non-profit community arts school with a unique teaching philosophy that emphasizes personal creativity and expression. Classes in dance, drama, visual art, voice, music and theater production are offered for students of all ages and skill levels.
Raleigh - Broadway Dance Project
Broadway Dance Project is a dance studio dedicated to the professional training of its students. The school is owned by Tito Hernandez and Catrina Godwin and was founded by William Jones, Executive Producer of "The North Carolina Theatre" and "Kids on Broadway."
Raleigh - Meredith College
The Dance Program at Meredith College
provides women with opportunities to develop artistically through disciplined training, creative exploration, and self-discovery. The curriculum, which offers depth and diversity, attracts students of many different ages and backgrounds. Dance students are encouraged to take advantage of the department's many exceptional practicum, specialized areas of study, performance with Creative Arts Touring Company and Meredith Dance Theatre, intensive learning experiences with regional and national guest artists, and venues for presentation of original choreographic works.
Raleigh - North Carolina Dance Institute
NCDI is a non-recital, non-competition institute focused on education and exposure to classical ballet and contemporary dance forms for children and adults.
Raleigh - North Carolina State University
The NC State Dance Program is one of six arts programs of ARTS NC STATE. The Dance Program, directed by Robin Harris, offers opportunities in performance through two student companies, the NCSU Dance Company and DanceVisions.
